Addition of Ink Jet Printer Data Stream (IJPDS) Driver Increases Output Options of Industry's Leading Document Generation Solution
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM)-enabling software solutions, today announced its DOC1 suite now supports Scitex Digital Printing's (Nasdaq: SCIX) VersaMark Printing Systems. Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Scitex Digital Printing is a world leader in ultra-high-speed digital printing solutions. The new Ink Jet Printer Data Stream (IJPDS) driver allows DOC1 users to print full-color, highly personalized customer communications on the VersaMark Printing Systems. Group 1 Software's DOC1 suite is an integrated, end-to-end customer communications management solution, providing both print and Web delivery. The solution gives businesses complete control of the document lifecycle, from content design, generation, and presentment to archive, retrieval and payment. Scitex's IJPDS file contains control data and formats that identify the characteristics of the data to be printed and position the printed image on the document. The file also incorporates image data that consists of the text and graphics that will be printed. In addition to IJPDS, DOC1 supports a wide variety of print formats including AFP, Metacode, PostScript, PCL and line data for centralized and distributed printing. DOC1 also generates HTML and PDF for online delivery.
